04 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Is tax complicated?

Individual tax rules have their own logical structure, but the system as a whole is fairly complex. That is why we focus on corporate taxes and selected sectors — so that real expertise in specific areas is actually attainable.

What does the tax team actually do?

Tax advisory of real complexity (analysis, Excel, work on source data), transfer pricing and group documentation, withholding tax and international compliance, structuring and transactions (going concerns, demergers, reorganisations), producing expert material, and project work with client communication — e-mails in Polish and English, status updates, document management.

What does a career in tax advisory look like?

It sits at the meeting point of law, accounting, business modelling and people skills. You might work on tax modelling, transactions, tax function analysis, litigation representation, transfer-pricing benchmarks, training, VAT records for international trade, or drafting procedures and opinions. Passing the tax adviser examination is an important milestone.

What does a career in accounting services look like?

With no experience you start by learning to post in the system: invoices, bank statements, VAT files, month-end procedures. With experience you own the month-end close (valuations, provisions, account reconciliations), client financial reports, and CIT, VAT and withholding tax calculations and returns.

How does a payroll career develop?

To begin with: salary calculation, HR documents, contributions and benefits, preparing payroll runs, keeping up with regulations. With experience: reviewing payroll calculations, checking HR and payroll documentation, data analysis and client reporting.

What skills are you looking for?

In accounting and payroll — people who enjoy numbers and drawing conclusions from them: precise calculations, reconciling data, Excel. In tax — a readiness to learn, care for the details that matter, and the ability to summarise conclusions understandably. In every department: a positive attitude to teamwork, respect for people and ownership of your part of the task.

What development paths are there?

Besides the classic management track (team, budget, clients, marketing) we offer an expert track — you grow technically and build your own team without taking on responsibility for budgets and company results.

Can I work remotely?

Our standard is a hybrid model — roughly two days a week in the office. That said, we are open to discussing fully remote work where it suits you and makes sense.

How can I check whether this job suits me?

Best of all in practice: a paid internship or trial period in which both sides test the fit. We can also set an introductory task matched to your skills.

What languages do you work in?

Mainly Polish and English. We require fluent Polish and advanced English (tax) or intermediate English (accounting / payroll). In support functions a conversational level is enough.

What language should I send my documents in?

Polish or English — whichever suits you. Interviews are held in Polish, with some English depending on the role you are applying for.

What are the firm’s main goals and values?

The highest quality of service, built on technical knowledge and integrity and delivered simply and understandably, plus growing relationships with clients and colleagues. More in the About section.

What training and support do you offer?

Internal and external training (tax and accounting regulations, soft skills), coaching and mentoring initiatives, and a technology stack that builds digital skills. In time, a training system mapped to the needs of each role.

What does a typical day in accounting or payroll look like?

Most of the day is entering data into the system, constant client communication, working with the team, reconciling data and producing clear financial or payroll reports.

What does a typical day in tax look like?

Monotony is hard to come by — the work is task- and project-based. In a consultant role: research queries, analysing regulations, working out solutions together, summarising conclusions in plain language, calculations in Excel, sometimes a press review or a blog post. We match roles to each person’s strengths.

What specialisation options are there?

We are growing strategically in real estate, technology and investment funds — our clients include international entities that need comprehensive support. We are also open to ideas from younger colleagues in the technology space.
